Nitrogen Dioxide Gas Detection
Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is a highly poisonous and corrosive gas that has a reddish-brown hue and a sharp, bitter odor at temperatures above 70°F. The gas is primarily used in fertilizer production and is considered an air pollutant. NO2 exposure through inhalation or skin absorption causes wheezing, coughing and other respiratory issues; at high concentrations, it may cause nitrogen dioxide poisoning and death.
