The ST-48 and its 10-0247 & 10-0247IS Sensor Heads are newly certified by CSA as suitable for use in Div 1 & Div 2 hazardous areas. The 10-0247 Sensor Head is equipped with a flame arrestor for use in explosion-proof (NEMA 7) or Intrinsically-Safe applications. The 10-0247IS Sensor Head does not include the flame arrestor and is approved only for I-S applications but allows monitoring of highly reactive gasses such as chlorine.
The ST-49 and its 10-0248 & 10-0248IS Sensor Heads are also certified in the manner described above. Both products are listed in CSA file # 219995 and may be seen at CSA-International.ORG. I-S installations require an approved barrier.
